Quick: What lip products are in your purse/backpack/messenger bag/etc. right now?
I only carry a purse, and right now I'm doing pretty well (not a zillion lip colors trapped at the bottom, which is often the case). Right now I'm carrying: eos lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet, Palmer's Tinted Lip Balm in Dark Chocolate & Cherry, Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Berry Bright, Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Standout and Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Plumrose.
Just Revlon lip butter in Gumdrop I just got from Big Lots.
ReplyDeleteRight now I have a mini tube of Aquaphor, Milani Black Cherry gloss, and L'oreal Cherry Tulle Caresse lipstick. I try to clean lippies out of my bag regularly, so I can find them when I want them!

And I let her borrow MAC lipliner in "Brick" WET N WILD lipstick in "911D Stoplight Red" topped with MAC LIPGLASS VIVA GLAM RIHANNA.

Out of all of those, I ALWAYS carry a light violet shade of lipstick and Blistek. The rest can vary.
Allmay Color+Care in pink pout and just plum. They stay there for touch ups no matter the color of the day.
ReplyDeleteI have two lip products in my purse- Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart and Maybelline Color Whisper in Nude Night Out. Of the 2, I much prefer the Revlon- it looks kinda bright in the package, but it's a great MLBB color. As for the Color Whisper, I only got it because it was on clearance for $1.87 at Walgreens, and I'd never tried them before. I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money on it because I'm not a fan. The color is okay, but it feels much less hydrating than a Revlon Lip Butter or other lip balm.

I often want to compare colors at the store with what I have at home, so I have bring a wheel with my colors with me if I can remember. For instance, my nail wheel is how I know that OPI Suzi Needs a Mango is a bit more pastel than WnW Sunny Side Up, and that Revlon Bare Bones and OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh are very close to each other.

ReplyDeleteRight now, in my satchel, I have a glass file for immediate fixes of breaks, a Maybelline Baby Lips, a NYX matte lipstick in natural, a Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime lip balm, a sample of Shisheido lip color in poppy something or other, my signature hyacinth perfume, and a compact mirror. More than usual!

ReplyDeleteI always remove my lipsticks at the end of the day. I am afraid I will lose them or they will get gross if I don't. Plus that way, they are always in my lipstick holders where I can easily find them when I am getting ready.
ReplyDeleteAll that I keep on my purse is the color I am wearing that day for touch ups. Today, Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm in Desire (50% off at Walgreens plus a $1 off coupon in the Walgreens monthly coupon booklet) and Maybelline Colorsational lipstick in LE Ravishing Rose 975 (also found 50% off at walgreens, but no coupon :-(). Lol...I am obviously a bargain shopper. I have so many lip products, that I rarely pay full price any more, it just feels wasteful. Unless it is something extremley unique and I just have to have it, I will wait and usually get it extremley reduced!
